As leaders, our journey begins with a deep understanding of ourselves. To be truly effective, we need to define a vision grounded in our core values. These values are the compass that guides our decisions and actions, shaping the leader we aspire to be.

Take time to reflect: What truly drives you? What principles do you want to uphold in your leadership?

Equally important is self-awareness around your strengths and areas for growth. Knowing where you excel allows you to lead with confidence, but recognizing your weaknesses empowers you to focus on growth.

Establishing a clear plan to address these gaps is critical. Be honest with yourself about the areas that need development, and consider what support you may need to progress.

In the book "Atomic Habits" by James Clear, small, consistent changes are shown to yield remarkable results. As you continue on your leadership journey, think about one or two habits you can form to close the gap between where you are now and where you want to be. Maybe it’s dedicating time each morning for strategic thinking or seeking regular feedback from your team. Maybe is getting out of bed on time, or exercising every evening.

The key is consistency—tiny improvements made daily will compound over time.

💡Call to Action: This week, identify one or two habits you can implement based on your strengths and growth areas. Start small but commit fully, because in order to lead others, we must lead ourselves effectively.
